Alhaji Lawal Musa Daura, mni, is a distinguished Nigerian intelligence and security professional with more than three decades of experience in national security, intelligence management and public service.

Born in Daura, Katsina State, Lawal Musa Daura studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and received further strategic training at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru.
He began his intelligence career with the National Security Organisation in 1982 and subsequently served in several senior capacities within the State Security Service, including as Director of Security in various states.
In 2015, he was appointed Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), serving until 2018.
Today, Lawal Musa Daura brings his experience in national security, intelligence, strategic leadership and public administration to the APM presidential ticket as the running mate to Engr. Seyi Makinde for the 2027 presidential election.
His selection reflects the ticket's stated commitment to building a safer, stronger and more secure Nigeria through competent, intelligence-driven leadership.
