Engr Seyi Makinde, the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate for Oyo State gubernatorial election has explained his absence at the BBC Yoruba organised political debate held in Ibadan on the 1st of February .

“I am looking forward to the parley with my fellow contestants, which will afford me the opportunity to once more present my agenda on education, agriculture, health, physical infrastructure, youth empowerment and security to the people of Oyo State.”

He also said that Oyo people should get their PVCs and be ready to come out en masse on March 2nd to vote out the present administration with its failed promises. He cited the continued closure of the state’s university, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the state of the health sector that saw women in labour bringing lanterns to the delivery rooms as a failure of the incumbent party.
